SEPAeditor is so easy to use that Cercle Optique has been convinced to use it for SEPA payments

On the advice of his banker, Mr Ktorza uses SEPAeditor to create his business' 300 monthly SEPA direct debit and transfer orders.

  • Could you tell us about Cercle Optique and your role within the company?

I am the founder of Cercle Optique, which is the payment and settlement centre for participating opticians' shops. We help them to negotiate business terms with their different suppliers.

  • How did you discover SEPAeditor?

An adviser at my bank told me about the SEPAeditor software.

  • How was the process of registering for the software and setting it up? And how do you use it today?

I started to use SEPAeditor when several updates were being applied, which made the process of adjusting to the software quite chaotic to start with. However, I don't have any problems with the software any more.

  • What impact has SEPAeditor had on your general organisation?

SEPAeditor has made the process of creating my 300 monthly SEPA direct debit and transfer orders easier. I no longer need to change them one after the other before sending them to my bank.

  • In your opinion, what are SEPAeditor's strengths and how could it be improved?

The SEPAeditor software is easy and quick to use. The only improvement I would like to see in SEPAeditor is the ability to enter the new unique mandate references (RUM) provided by our debtors directly into the CFONB file before conversion. At the moment I have to add them by hand as the software automatically creates RUMs which do not match. Luckily this is only for a small number of monthly customers so it's not too much of a problem.

  • SEPAeditor response:

SEPAeditor automatically creates a UMR when it finds a new third party converting a direct debit file to SEPA SDD. To avoid this automatic numbering, the third party must be created in the SEPAeditor database before the banking file is imported by supplying the mandate data. This can be done manually or by importing a text file with separators.
