SEPA formats and norms:
how do they work?

Bank details (BIC, IBAN)

Bank accounts in the SEPA zone are defined using an IBAN (International Bank Account Number, which identifies the account) and a BIC (Bank Identifier Code, which identifies the bank).

SEPA file formats

All the SEPA payment instruments follow the ISO 20022 standard for transfer files. This standard is based on the XML language.
